As we conveyed in a recent communiqué, due to a re-evaluation of circumstances and under pressure from the government, FNEEQ and the CSN have decided to resume Collective Agreement negotiations, at both the Central and Sectoral Tables. Please see letter from Yves de Repentigny, vice-president of FNEEQ (here), for more background information on the decision to resume talks.
To move the negotiations along, over the course of next week, FNEEQ will be consulting local unions on their priorities for the Sectoral Table. In order to facilitate this process, JACFA will be holding an online General Assembly, at 4 p.m. next Wednesday, May 13 (Friday schedule).
Details of the meeting, in terms of online coordinates, any propositions from FNEEQ, and all relevant background information related to our Sectoral demands will be forwarded to you in the coming days.
We are also planning a second GA, on May 26, that will be dedicated to discussing the College’s plan for the Fall 2020 semester. We understand that the latter issue has been on the minds of many of our members. This GA will be part our broader plan to engage with the College Administration with our members’ concerns.
We look forward to seeing you on the 13th!
