Salary Scales

A regular teacher’s salary is a function of scholarity (the number of years of education recognized as completed), experience (both previous work experience and years of service teaching at John Abbott) and the degrees obtained (whether you have a masters or doctoral degree). The salary scales for 2015-2017 to 2019-2020 are published in Appendix VI-1, on page 313 of our collective agreement. Rates for hourly-paid teaching (e.g. ContEd, summer courses or suppléance) are set according to scholarity alone (see page 314).
