JACFA Survey on Evaluation of Teaching (Policy 12)

In preparation for the upcoming renegotiation of Policy 12 (which governs the evaluation of teaching at the College), the JACFA executive is conducting a short survey. The purpose of the survey is to gather information about our members’ experiences with teaching evaluations under the current policy, and to gather feedback on potential changes that are being considered. Please click on this page to participate in the survey. It should take approximately 15 minutes to complete. All answers will be compiled anonymously. The deadline for response is Thursday, September 21st, 5:00 PM. The results, along with other relevant background information, will be presented for discussion and possible decision(s) at our General Assembly on September 26th

Available Substitute Spaces for the Faculty Lounge

Since last May, we have been in contact with the College regarding the availability of substitute space for the faculty lounge during Library renovations. In response, the college recently posted a list of available spaces, and procedures for booking them (click on the link to this post for access to the document). Given the limited availability of space, we advise everyone to anticipate their space needs and make their bookings as early as possible. Please let us know if you run into any issues booking any of the spaces listed.
